Prior to Regents, I worked for 5 years as a Science and Biology Teacher at Castlemilk High School in Glasgow, Scotland, an inner-city state secondary school. In 2008, the school was awarded ‘6 Excellents’ by Her Majesty’s Inspectorate of Education (HMIe), the best ever for a Glasgow secondary and one of the best for any school in Scotland – please click here to see the report. The school heads the Castlemilk New Learning Community and was awarded Schools of Ambition status by the Scottish Executive – please click here for more details – and the Investors in People Award – please click here.
