Educational Systems & Professional Responsibilities

…this page is currently being updated – thanks for your patience! 😀

I have an excellent working relationship with my colleagues and adhere to and contribute to the development of whole-school and departmental policies concerning curriculum, assessment, monitoring and tracking, and pastoral management. I work collaboratively with my Departmental Head, the Head of Sixth Form and other line managers at regular link and departmental meetings.

I value the professional dialogue I can have with my colleagues concerning cross-curricular issues and am involved in numerous initiatives to include the development of an IB ‘curriculum map’. I am responsible for organizing whole year group academic excursions to our school’s outdoor centre on the island of Koh Chang and liaise with outdoor centre staff, forest rangers and village elders in designing programs where students conduct social and environmental studies as part of their internal assessment. I also successfully utilize the school grounds and local outdoor spaces in teaching and learning of the science curriculum. I have liaised with health professionals and the Physical Education department in planning units of work. I liaise regularly with the English and Mathematics departments in streamlining methods of teaching essay skills, literacy and numeracy and data analysis. I have also assisted in promoting trips to careers events and university open days for students in the upper school.
