I am a keen traveler and have worked and vacationed in many places including Africa, Eastern and Western Europe, Canada, The United States, China, South East Asia and South America. I always like to participate in the local adventure sports and my achievements have included climbing Mount Kenya at 17,000 ft, climbing active volcano Mount Bromo on Java at 7,500ft, jungle trekking, grade 6 white-water rafting, glacier hiking, and river boarding glacial waters in Canada.
My goal in life is to obtain my Motorcycle Maintenance license and bike from Cairo to Cape Town.
Climbing active volcano Mount Bromo on Java, IndonesiaThe Great Wall of China – the old part, not the tourist part, the part where you have to traverse a 200ft dam first just to get onto it! – slight case of vertigo!Athabasca glacier, Jasper National Park, Alberta, CanadaRiver boarding glacial waters in the Canadian Rockies – TWO wetsuits, people! – it was THAT cold!
I always try to immerse myself in local culture and have learned many language and culinary skills on my travels. I am currently learning Spanish which I am really enjoying – my Venezuelan teacher says my accent is very convincing(!) I also enjoy keeping up to date with new technologies and ICT, relaxing with Tai Chi, photography (although, I’m not very good at it!), and am trying to teach myself guitar.
