From August 2009 to July 2011, I was a Science and Biology teacher and IB CAS Coordinator employed as part of an effective and established team at The Regent’s International School, Pattaya, Thailand. The Regent’s School is an international school with a British educational ethos, following the English National Curriculum to IGCSE and the International Baccalaureate.
It is a truly international school, taking in day students and boarders from many European and Asian countries, to include a large group of local Thai students. It serves over 1200 students from early years through to secondary and employs over 100 teaching staff from all across the world. The Regents prides itself on high standards and provision of quality teaching and learning and boasts Cambridge and Oxford graduates in its alumni.
In its commitment to the holistic education of the whole-child, The Regents is an active member of the internationally recognized Round Square Organisation and IDEALS philosophy which is embedded across the whole school curriculum and encourages students to critically think about and act upon local, national and global issues. The Regent’s hosted the Round Square International Conference 2010 to over 80 schools from around the world. It was heralded as ‘the most successful conference in Round Square history’.
